At The Inner Collective we believe that mental health is an integral part of our general wellbeing. We treat psychology as an integral part of life rather and a clinical experience.

Video: How Medicare rebates work

In this video Dr Phoebe briefly takes you through how to get a Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare rebates, and the mental health care system.

* Please note that clients are responsible for doing their own research and to discuss their individual circumstances with their health care providers.

Medicare rebates can be accessed for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year if you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your referring General Practitioner. As of 9 October 2020, all Australians are able to access an additional 10 MHCP sessions per year (20 sessions) until June 2022. Some private health companies also provide a rebate for psychological services. Check with your provider. You can also attend sessions privately without the need of a referral.

Clinical Psychologists: Sessions are 50 minutes long at $206.35. This is competitive compared to recommended rates. With a Medicare rebate ($129.55 under a MHCP), there is an out-of-pocket investment of $76.80 per session.

Psychologists (Clinical Psychology Registrars):  Sessions are 50 minutes long at $165. This is competitive compared to recommended rates. With a Medicare rebate ($88.25 under a MHCP), there is an out-of-pocket investment of $76.75 per session.

You may also like to attend sessions "privately" meaning that either a rebate will be claimed with your private health insurance or that you will pay the full fee. *Please let us know if you have lost your job due to COVID-19.
