Festivities Series: Coping during the Holidays

For many of us, Christmas, or even the whole month of December, can be a stressful and triggering period. This could be due to several reasons: the stress of buying presents and finances for example, or having to deal with difficult family members who always seem to bring out the worst in us, or perhaps the holidays remind us of something we would rather not think about. That’s why it’s especially important to be extra gentle with ourselves as we approach the big 25 of December. If one of those statements rang true for you – know that you aren’t alone, and that there are things that you can do for yourself to lighten the burden of the holidays.
