The Inner Collective is a Melbourne CBD-based Psychology practice offering in-person and online consultations via tele-health.

 

We understand that effective therapy depends on you connecting with your practitioner. Our close-knit team of clinical psychologists are warm, non-judgemental and committed to your wellbeing.

About Phoebe

Dr Phoebe is a warm, calm and compassionate clinical psychologist working with adults. She has spent more than a decade in counselling, research, and clinical psychology - but without the clinical ‘feel’.

​

Phoebe believes mental health, along with physical health, is central to wellbeing for a full and meaningful life. She has a passion for women's wellbeing and mental health issues, and women's leadership.

 

Phoebe wholeheartedly believes that to change our social context, we must start at the grass-roots - working on ourselves.​​

Jeretine is a gentle, warm and compassionate clinical psychologist who uses evidence-based and holistic approaches to therapy.

 

Jeretine has experience supporting adolescents and adults with difficulties, including depression, anxiety, sleep and stress management, grief and loss, relationship concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, perfectionism and self-esteem.

About Bryan

Bryan is an understanding and respectful clinical psychology registrar from a Singaporean immigrant background. He is committed to promoting a safe, supportive and compassionate therapeutic space where clients feel heard and respected. Bryan focuses on developing strong collaborative relationships with clients and is passionate about helping them build an enriched life driven by their personal values. 

 

Bryan has experience working with adults and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief and adjustment difficulties. He has also worked in various private and public health settings, including the Royal Women’s Hospital, where he worked with women experiencing perinatal mental health issues. 

 

Bryan has a special interest in assisting clients with social anxiety and is committed to working with diverse client groups.

About Anna

Anna is a compassionate and collaborative provisional psychologist in Australia, building upon her qualifications as a psychologist in Brazil since 2011.

 

Anna has particular interest in working with diverse group communities, addressing migratory grief and cultural shock, existential issues, anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief & loss, and stress management.

 

Being an immigrant herself, Anna holds empathy for the challenges of adapting to and finding belonging in a new culture. She believes that her own perspective allows her to connect with and support individuals navigating the complexities of immigration.

 

Anna truly believe that seeking therapy is a courageous step towards living a more authentic life. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey, wherever they happen to be, embodying Carl Jung's wisdom: "know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul."

About Yang

Yang Yan (YY) is a friendly and compassionate psychologist from Malaysia who is undertaking registration in Australia. She takes a holistic and client-centered approach to therapy. She aims to create a warm and supportive space where clients feel empowered to navigate life's challenges.

 

In her practice, YY has experience supporting adults facing a range of concerns, including trauma, familial discord challenges, grief, life transitions, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties.

 

Regardless of the presenting issue, she tailors each session to the unique needs and goals of the individual and couples, drawing upon evidence-based approaches to foster self-awareness and lasting positive change.

About Joel

Joel is a good-humoured and responsive Clinical Psychologist of Chinese Malaysian descent, who cares deeply about the work he does. He has a lively and collaborative therapeutic style, and his clinical work is guided by values of compassion, thoughtfulness, curiosity, and authenticity.

 

Joel sees the world through a multicultural lens and works hard to create a safe space in therapy where people feel heard and accepted.

Joel has also worked in physical health with people experiencing psychological distress as a result of having cancer or inflammatory bowel disease. Joel has particular interests in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, job dissatisfaction, and ADHD.

 

Joel is passionate about Asian representation in leadership and working with people of colour.

Grounded in an intersectional and decolonial approach, Takeo aims to provide culturally responsive, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed care. With a deep appreciation for the wisdom, lived experiences, and resilience of every individual, Takeo strives to create a safe and empowering space for each client.

 

Takeo brings their experience in supporting adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as individuals within gender and sexual diverse communities, across both public and private mental health sectors.
